How to Become a Virtual Assistant

 

Describe the ideal BELAY Virtual Assistant candidate.

The ideal candidate is someone with five years of Executive Assistant or Virtual Assistant experience, with high emotional intelligence (the ability to identify and manage your own emotions and the emotions of others), a broad range of technology experience, hungry, humble, and smart and a huge heart for serving.

We have a multistep process for the candidate to complete to ensure we find the perfect Client match. This process includes assessments on personality, strengths, work experience, professional knowledge and much more. Once the process is completed and a match is made, a contract will be extended to the candidate.

 

What are some signs that an applicant will be successful with BELAY?

Throughout the interview process, we are primarily looking to see if the candidate shows a kind, humble heart while also displaying resourcefulness, timeliness and competency. This delicate balance of professional skills and emotional intelligence is what makes our Clients and our Virtual Assistants successful.

 

What are some signs that an applicant may NOT be a good fit?

If you aren’t proactive, a work from home productivity master, or love helping others achieve their goals…you may not like serving BELAY clients.

 

What role does client play in the “matching” process?

At BELAY, we have a team of Client Success Consultants that work with directly with our Clients to discover wants and determine their needs. We also have a multistep process for our Clients to ensure the perfect VA match is made for their individual business. This process includes key points such as: technology, professionalism, software, preferred skill set, personality type and communication style. We want to make sure that both Client and VA are set up for success.
