“If you had told me 10 years ago when I started as the very first Executive Assistant at BELAY that I would one day be the CEO of that same company, I wouldn’t have believed you,” said Tricia. “But now, as I look back, I can see how each step in my career has led me to this exact moment and provided me the exclusive vantage point for writing this book.”
According to a Harvard Business Review study, executives worked an average of nearly 10 hours per weekday – or an average of nearly 63 hours per week, which includes putting in an additional four hours per weekend day and nearly two and half hours per vacation day.
However, leaders delegating to an assistant saved an average of 8-15 hours each week – the equivalent of nearly one to two full workdays.
And still, in her decade with BELAY, Tricia encountered countless leaders with feelings of uncertainty when it came to hiring – and subsequently working with – an assistant.
