It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and we’re just in time for a humble brag in the form of a year in review. 

We’re thankful for our contractors and corporate team members who have helped us continue to deliver our mission and whose hard work has led to some of our biggest accomplishments this year.

Here are snippets of some of our proudest moments from 2021: 

BELAY CEO Publishes New Book on Leveraging an Executive Assistant

January 2021 – Tricia Sciortino has published Rise Up & Lead Well: How Leveraging An Assistant Will Change Your Life & Maximize Your Time.

“If you had told me 10 years ago as the first Executive Assistant at BELAY that I would one day be its CEO, I wouldn’t have believed you,” said Tricia, who is also the co-host of the One Next Step podcast

“But now, I see how each step in my career has led to an exclusive vantage point for writing my book.”

According to a Harvard Business Review study, executives work nearly 10 hours per weekday – or nearly 63 hours per week, which includes four weekend hours and nearly three hours per vacation day.

However, leaders with an assistant save an average of 8-15 hours weekly – or one to two workdays.

Still, in her decade with BELAY, Tricia has encountered countless leaders uncertain about hiring – and subsequently working with – an assistant.

“They simply don’t know where to begin,” she said. “But an assistant levels up your leadership as they manage the details so you stay focused on that which only you can do.”

BELAY Lives Up to ‘Fast-Growing Company’ Recognition With Meteoric Growth in Q1

March 2021 – BELAY lives up to its coveted 2020 spot on the Inc. 5000’s ‘Fastest-Growing Private Companies’ list in 2021.

BELAY continues to experience precipitous growth in 2021 as it meets and serves its employees, contractors and clients as the distributed workforce model gains a more permanent foothold. 

Currently, BELAY is tracking to reach its 30 percent growth goal for 2021 while continuing to also exceed monthly revenue goals. 

After launching two online courses, adding a social media strategist service line, and launching the One Next Step podcast in 2020, BELAY’s growth shows no signs of waning in the new year.

Additionally, its corporate staff is poised to grow by nearly 10 percent by the end of March, bolstered by BELAY’s 98-percent retention rate. 

Its contractor opportunities have also seen a nearly 10-percent increase in applications. Over the last year, remote work has proven itself to be a great option both for those looking for flexible remote work and for small businesses that need fractional help from the experts at BELAY to find and vet top talent.

BELAY Continues to Earn Awards & Recognition for Growth Year Over Year

April 2021 – BELAY is enjoying exponential growth in 2021 – and shows no signs of waning.

With Q1 monthly revenue nearly 14 percent higher than in Q4 of 2020 – all while poised to exceed its 30-percent annual growth projections – BELAY has received yet another award for what it does best: growing.

Startup Weekly recently recognized BELAY as one of the 2021 HR & Staffing Companies to Watch for ‘… showcasing strong growth and excellence in 2020.’

“Despite the challenges laid at our collective feet last year, we’re of the mindset that things don’t happen to us, they happen for us,” said Krisha Buehler, Vice President of Human Resources. 

“So we’re always prepared to find the opportunity to grow and better serve each other and our clients.”

BELAY Wins Category Among Highest-Scoring Businesses on Inc. Magazine’s Annual List of Best Workplaces 2021

May 2021 – BELAY has been named to Inc. magazine’s annual list of the Best Workplaces for 2021. 

Hitting newsstands May 18 in the May/June 2021 issue, the list is the result of a comprehensive measurement of American companies that have created exceptional workplaces, vibrant company cultures, and deep employee engagement whether teams are operating in person or remotely.

The recognition marks the fourth outstanding honor for BELAY in 2021. BELAY was recently awarded Atlanta’s Top 100 Fastest-Growing Companies by the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2021 Pacesetter Awards. It was also recently recognized by Startup Weekly as one of the 2021 HR & Staffing Companies to Watch. 

Additionally, FlexJobs also recognized BELAY on its annual list of the Top 100 Companies to Watch for Remote Jobs in 2021.

BELAY Continues to Find Opportunities to Serve Remote Workforce With Launch of New Management Course

June 2021 – BELAY continues to find opportunities to serve not only its client base but the public at large with the launch of a new remote management course.

BELAY Receives Strategic Investment From New Capital Partner Tenex

July 2021 – BELAY has partnered with Tenex, a private equity firm.

Launched in 2010 by Bryan and Shannon Miles, BELAY disrupted the fractional staffing market with highly vetted, U.S.-based modern staffing solutions for businesses, nonprofits, and churches. BELAY was founded on a mission to equip clients with the confidence to climb higher and has scaled exponentially in the last 10 years, expanding its offerings of assistants, bookkeepers, and website specialists to include social media strategists, online courses, and the One Next Step podcast.

And after naming Tricia Sciortino BELAY’s new CEO in January 2020, founders Bryan and Shannon Miles selected Tenex Capital Management to further support its projected growth and culture while remaining shareholders.

BELAY Makes Inc. Magazine’s Annual List of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies—the Inc. 500—For the 7th Consecutive Year

August 2021 – BELAY announced today that the company made the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies for the seventh year in a row.

The recognition serves as a testament to BELAY’s exponential growth, which averaged 104% over the past three years.
